ENVIRONMENTAL MATTERS AND REGULATION	NOTE 14 - ENVIRONMENTAL MATTERS AND REGULATION Significant federal environmental laws affecting us are the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA), also known as the Superfund Act, the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, and the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). Pursuant to the EPAs authorization of their RCRA equivalent programs, a number of states have regulatory programs governing the operations and permitting of hazardous waste facilities. Our facilities are regulated pursuant to state statutes, including those addressing clean water and clean air. Our facilities are also subject to local siting, zoning and land use restrictions. Although our facilities occasionally have been cited for regulatory violations, we believe we are in substantial compliance with all federal, state and local laws regulating our business.
